Picric Acid Reactive Hazards Reduction, affiliated with Environmental Waste Minimum Inc., is a company that specializes in highly reactive and explosive materials and is equipped to assist environmental professionals in industry, research & development, educational institutions, hospitals, fire departments, police and government agencies (Client List) in the education, recognition and reduction of hazards associated with hazardous materials. As reactive and explosive specialists we are available to safely neutralize or destroy unstable chemicals that are capable of a violent decomposition which could result in an injury or fatality, such as old picric acid, peroxidizable compounds, unstable nitro compounds, organic peroxides and strong or contaminated oxidizers. We also handle many materials contained in steel cylinders which can be neutralized or transferred to another container for disposal. Unknown material characterization and perchloric acid hood systems are also a specialty of our company. RHR uses many proven procedures and special equipment that has been developed over years of service and direct hands on contact with these materials. With over 25 years of direct experience, including 7 years of TSD management specializing in the disposal of reactive and explosive materials, RHR has background and training that is difficult to find in this field.
